Oven pancake for Sunday morning
Posted by Marit on April 8, 2008
On a Sunday morning i would like something else instead of a sandwich or muesli. This time I tried oven pancake, which is easier and faster to make than usual pancakes - just mi
x the ingredients together and put everything in the oven. And it tastes like a little piece of heaven, when served with either with hot and fresh coffee or chilled orange juice. And strawberry jam of course!
# Beat egg yolks with 3 tablespoons of sugar, add melted butter and a bit of salt.
# Warm milk (40-50 degrees C) and stir into the mixture, also sift in flour and baking soda. Add raisins and a bit of cardamon.
# Last but not least pour in egg whites beaten with the remaining sugar. Bake at 200 degrees C for about 15-20 minutes (until golden). Serve immediately (it tastes better when still warm) with jam.
What else would you want on a lazy Sunday morning?
