Dessert from bread crumbs? It is possible.

It is always a party when a person from Estonia comes to visit me and brings all kinds of yummy stuff
like Estonian bread, cheese, smoked cheese, and of course black bread. As I don’t have a freezer, everything has to be eaten at once. When my mum was visiting, I tried eating all the stuff she brought, but some pieces of bread still dried out. No need to worry cause Estonians are smart people and can come up with very good ideas how to use up all the leftovers. I found this recipe and decided to try how does a dessert from breadcrumbs tastes. For two persons:
# Grate the bread and fry on the pan with butter and sugar until caramelised (do not burn). Season with cinnamon and put aside to cool completely.
# Puree strawberries with a blender and season with sugar.
# Whisk the whipping cream with sugar, mix it carefully with sour cream and divide into two bowls.
# Mix half of the cream with breadcrumbs and the other half with crushed strawberries. Keep 1 tbsp of each for garnishing.
# Serve in dessert glasses in layers, top with a tsp of crushed strawberries and a bit of crumbs.
You can easily omit strawberries - just use a bit more breadcrumbs (or less cream), mix all toasted crumbs with cream and serve with some nice jam.
